The New York game just ended, and I can't believe Thibs kept Rose and Noah on the bench down the stretch! Steve Kerr commented during the broadcast that he believed it was a good decision for Thibs to rest the starters, both to reward the reserves for playing well enough to make the game close and to keep the starters fresh for the Boston game. I don't buy this reasoning at all. I don't care if it's November or April, the first game of a back-to-back or the final game of the season.

Rudy Fernandez and his Portland Trail Blazers visit the Bulls this Monday. Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets are at the UC next Monday. Sam Smith says that the odds of acquiring either are slim. But if you had a chance, do you go for the easier-to-get Fernandez? Or hold back on the chance you might score big with Anthony? Or just wait it out...

"Denver hasn?t traded Anthony yet," writes Sam Smith. "Everyone assumes they eventually will. What if they cannot get Anthony to agree to go to New Jersey or Houston or Orlando or the many teams that will bid for him? What if Anthony says New York, believed to be his No. 1 choice, or Chicago, No. 2, or he just forgoes the extension and plays it out and leaves?"

It?s not going to be the all year drama of 2009-10 with the LeBron James recruiting tour this season. Though we will have the Carmelo-drama, as the pursuit of Carmelo Anthony is now being called, and for the Bulls, starting Monday, it?s the latest NBA fashion show.

That?s because Monday the Bulls host the 3-0 Portland Trail Blazers and Rudy Fernandez, the disgruntled Spaniard who?s made it pretty clear he wants out of Portland and back to Spain. We think.

One question triggered actually by Mark Jackson's and JVG's comments - the Noah-Melo thing again. I'm not speculating whether it's going to happen or not, but the thing is, and I quote and agree with Jackson here, "you don't find unstoppable scorers like Melo, though you can find another great rebounder and emotional leader like Noah a lil' easier". I mean, don't you agree with that just a little? I feel the Bulls, as good as they currently look, and they'll improve when Booz' comes back, might be making a mistake, the same we did in not giving up Deng for KG or Gasol when we had the shot.

October 28, 2010 ? The Chicago Bulls announced today that they have named former Bull Sidney Green as a Team Ambassador. Green joins former Bulls great Scottie Pippen as a Team Ambassador.

Green will make the transition to his new role after serving as a scout and Player Development Assistant for the Bulls? Basketball Operations Department.
